For the letter wey Dangote lawyer, O.J. Onoja, submit to ICPC on January 5, 2026, e talk say Dangote don pull back the petition wey e file on December 16, 2025. E dey accuse Farouk Ahmed of big corruption and say him dey chop public money wey no be him own. The matter no dey small as na $7 million wey Farouk reportedly use pay school fees for im pikin dem for Switzerland be the gist of the day.
ICPC quickly come out to clear the air, dem talk say even though Dangote don withdraw, their investigation no go stop. Dem dey follow the matter sharp sharp to make sure say everybody wey dey involve for the corruption no go escape the law.
ICPC talk say the law dey clear on top matter like this: once dem don start investigation and e dey concern the public, dem no fit just dey pull back. E get sections for their Act wey dey back am up. So, corruption no be play, no matter who you be.
Farouk Ahmed wey don resign as the head of NMDPRA because of this matter, fit still dey under plenty pressure as civil society groups don dey push for justice. Dem no wan make this thing just pass like that without any serious action.
As per wetin dem dey investigate, we no fit see the full allegations wey dey talk say Farouk do, but ICPC don promise to run thorough investigation wey go make sure say dem do the right thing for the people of Nigeria.
