As e be, the school don receive touch up for three classrooms plus one staff room, courtesy of the 1985 set of alumni wey no dey play when e come to supporting their old school. E be like say dis set no wan hear word at all, dem just wan show say ‘we dey here for una’.
Eluwole talk say encroachment no be matter wey concern only Baptist High School, but na nationwide palava wey dey affect many schools. Him promise say the government go secure all the schools make students and teachers fit dey learn without fear. E add, “Safe spaces dey very important for our students and staff.” Wetin more to talk?
The Commissioner come yan say na the support of alumni like the 1985 set wey dey help the school shine again. He dey beckon on other old students to step up and also give back to their alma mater. Because gree me jare, when dem don finish graduate, and dem go shele for big big jobs, dem go remember where dem come from.
Dr. Adetona Adedeji, wey get big title as Director of Currency Operations for Central Bank of Nigeria, join other members to renovate di school to mark their 40th anniversary. Na true fulfillment of wetin dem don dey plan for long time to give their old school beta life again.
Dr. Yejide Oseni, wey represent the 1985 set, tell everybody say na time to show support for dem old school. She no lie at all as she talk say “Alumni dey very important for the growth and development of any school.” Last year, dem renovate four classrooms, now this year, dem don up di ante to three classrooms and staff room wey get toilet join.
She further talk, “We dey crazy salute our classmates wey support this project. We plan to do more renovation for another block of classrooms because we no go leave our school waka.” Mr. Owolabi Ayodele, di school principal, con dey happy say dis renovated place go make teaching and learning better for students and teachers alike. Everyone dey ginger, say this na di way to go!
