Naija, wetin dey happen? Those six vigilante members wey dem catch for Edo don finally come out!
The Kwara State Police Command don confirm say dem collect the vigilante boys from the Nigerian Army, after dem catch dem for Auchi–Ikpeshi Road. E happen early December 2025, but na on December 31, dem hand dem over to police.
As dem dey travel inside motor wey belong to Ifelodun Local Government Area, soldiers see dem and intercept. But after police investigate, dem find out say the boys na legitimate vigilantes wey dey help fight crime.
The police spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, talk say no be bandits wey dem catch, but proper members wey dey work with other security agencies!
Commissioner of Police for Kwara, Ojo Adekimi, also message say dem go continue to partner with community vigilante groups. Him yan say make all the vigilante groups follow law make dem no waka anyhow.
Na dem news wey dey circulate, some even talk say the boys don carry AK-47 like bandits, but e be like say na one video dey cause confusion. For that video, one suspect dey claim say na Ilorin government give dem the rifles!
But the Kwara State Government don clear am say dem no give anybody gun! Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Bolanle Olukoju, don talk say no security body report say dem catch armed bandits for Ifelodun or any part of Kwara State.
