Ribadu make dis statement during di graduation ceremony for over 7,000 forest guards wey go help the security agencies to gather intelligence and protect communities wey dey vulnerable to attack.
“Dis Forest Guards no be just ordinary people wey wear uniform. Dem be the first responders and community protectors, wey go dey help secure our territory,” na wetin Ribadu talk. E come add say dem go dey start duty immediately and dem go dey collect salary and allowance from day one. Na wetin we dey talk, as dem dey protect our forests, dem dey secure our lives.”
AbdulRazaq talk dis gist during di passing-out parade of about 1,000 newly trained forest guards for Ilorin. Him describe dis initiative as “game changer” wey go strengthen di state security. Him talk say at least 200 forest guards go dey deployed for each local government to secure dem forest areas and support local vigilantes.
