Na wah o, my people! This one pain pass wahala! The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) don burst for body after dem kill one of their own, Chinemerem Pascalina Chuwumeziem, wey dey work for Federal Medical Centre, Abuja.
Nurse Chinemerem wey dey always dey save life, close from her afternoon shift on January 3, 2026, come enter public transport go her house. Wetin happen next? She no reach home alive o. Her lifeless body later show for place wey no suppose dey happen. E be like say wickedness don enter road again!
NANNM don sharply condemn this brutal act, dey call am “wicked and senseless.” Dem dey vex say this killing no be only attack on Nurse Chinemerem alone, but on healthcare workers everywhere! Imagine nurses wey dey wake early, close late after serving di nation, come dey fear to go home? Na so our country go run?
Jama Medan, di Chairman of NANNM FCT Council, don issue statement wey dey show their anger. Dem don call on security agencies like Nigeria Police Force and Department of State Services make dem do wetin dem suppose do: investigate well well and catch the people wey do dis bad thing!
The matter don reach di federal government level as NANNM dey urge dem to provide better security around hospitals, especially where healthcare workers dey board vehicles. Lack of security dey make nurses dey naitikaya treat person when dem no sure dem go return home to their families. Na serious wahala be dis o!
NANNM dey cry make Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, make e add security for everywhere wey dem dey work, and even consider transport for nurses wey dey come from night shift. Na so dem go fit reduce this sad story, and avoid another case of lives wey dey wasted senselessly.
Security no fit just dey for mouth; action dey needed! As e dey be now, dem dey fear to even enter bus to cause wetin fit happen for road. E don too clear say, this na big insecurity wahala wey we need to address sharp sharp before e turn to trend for all our nurses.
As NANNM dey send condolences to di family wey dey suffer dis loss, dem remind everybody say the death of Nurse Chinemerem no be just another story—dis one na call to action. We go keep demanding justice till dem catch dem bad people wey do dis thing!
