According to Yobe emergency management agency, dis boat accident happen for Garbi town as dem dey return from market, fishing, and farming last Saturday night. Na wetin we dey hear say e happen, but nobody sabi wetin lead to dis capsizing matter yet.
Out of the 52 passengers, dem don rescue 13 people wey dey receive medical help. As e be now, search and rescue operations dey go on, with security agencies, emergency responders, and local community volunteers dey put hand together to find the missing people and recover any body wey don demised.
Dis kain boat accidents no be new thing for naija, especially for areas wey water transportation dey popular because of how e dey make business easier. But na so e be say most of these boats dey overload, and no good maintenance dey happen. Many of them no even get life jackets for people wey dey enter.
