Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Gombe Sector Commander, Samson Kaura, talk say seven people don die that day. Four other people wey dey inside di bus still carry injury join dem. Na real heart break we dey feel for di families wey lose their loved ones.
Dem carry di bodies go morgue for Gombe while di injured don rush go hospital sharp sharp make dem fit receive treatment. Some of di journalists wey die include Zarah Umar, wey be Manager of News, and she still dey work as Senior Special Assistant to di Governor for di Office of di First Lady. Others be Manu Haruna Kwami, Isa Lawan, Musa Tabra, Aminu Adamu, Adams Danladi, and Judith Kutus.
Na strong shock wey Governor Inuwa Yahaya express as e send condolence message to di families of di deceased. E talk say, “Dis tragedy dey pain me. We don lose colleagues wey na partners and public servants wey dey serve with passion.”
Di governor still urge di injured people make dem get speedy recovery. E talk say di government dey follow di matter wey kon happen closely, so any help wey people fit need go dey there sharply.
Di whole Gombe State dey in mourning mood as everybody dey feel di heavy loss. “We dey grieve together as people wey dey pray for God make e protect us from this kind tragedy in future,” na wetin di governor talk.
Just few days back, di state still dey recover from another accident wey involve seven people wey die from Lawanti village while dem dey go wedding for Borno State. Na really bad time be dis for di journalists and everyone wey dey work for media for Gombe.
