Dem Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) for Gombe State don yan say dem no go join the Christmas rally wey the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) dey organise for 2025. Wetin dey happen? The church talk say na years of wahala wey dem don dey face, including marginalisation and lack of inclusiveness, wey make dem come vex.

According to wetin we gather, the decision no be just wetin dem take on top emotion, na after plenty prayer and discussion. Dem don dey feel say CAN de neglect dem, especially as dem no get proper leadership support when gbege happen for the state. ECWA leaders, Rev Sa’idu Kwari and Rev Dr Adamu Dauda, talk say this one no fit continue.

Dem complain say plenty of their members wey suffer from past violent incidents for Gombe still dey waka with their wahala, while CAN dey collect applause without doing anything for dem. Na wetin dem dey call ‘exclusion’ the church dey face, and e don tire dem well-well.

As dem don make this move, ECWA don order all their churches and institutions to no involve for any CAN-related Christmas activity. E mean say na only community activities dem go dey focus on this year. Dem don propose say make churches dey visit traditional rulers and community leaders, spread peace messages, and do all these things wey go fit build their community well.

ECWA don talk say the unity of Christians dey important, but e must dey grounded on fairness and accountability. Dem encourage their members to stay calm and prayerful, as dem dey hope say this decision go make CAN leaders sit down do correct things for their side.
