Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan wey dey represent Kogi Central don come out come talk say she dey face pressure to defect from her party, PDP, go join APC wey be ruling party for Nigeria. No be only small pressure o, na heavy pressure! The pressure dey come from big men for government and even her fellow Senators.
As she dey yarn for interview wey Seun Okinbaloye get with am for im show ‘Mic On’, she come clear say no be today dem dey disturb am. She been talk say dem don dey approach am many times, even yesterday she fit hear joke wey person tok say dem dey expect am make she come back join APC.
But this Senator no carry last! She don make am clear say she dey enjoy her time for PDP and no go follow anybody join APC. Na she dey talk say ‘Why I go go join APC? Everybody dey rush enter there like say na jam be that. I no go follow crowd because I no dey fear any threat or sweet mouth.’
Na so e dey be, my people. Her waka no easy as she dey face gender-based wahala for politics. Some people don even question her roots, dey ask why her husband come from Delta State, and wetin concern that one with her political ambition?
But Akpoti-Uduaghan no be ordinary woman. She don prepare her mind finish. She talk say each time she face challenge, she don already brace herself. Na so strong women go dey rise up.
She also dey advise other women wey wan enter politics say make dem no allow anybody intimidate dem. ‘Resilience na the key o! It fit dey tough, but you get strength for inside you,’ she yarned.
When dem ask am wetin she go do if PDP no gree carry am again, the Senator yan, ‘No. No, no, no. I no go join APC!’ Na so e be, no shaking!
