For one meeting wey dem hold with market leaders for Awka, Soludo don talk say di sit-at-home don turn from just protest to pure criminal enterprise. E no gree say Nnamdi Kanu dey back anybody wey dey enforce am again. Soludo call am ‘calculated economic sabotage’. Na wetin? E don dey clear say dem wey dey enforce dis sit-at-home no be proper Anambra people.
Soludo don also tell dem say every market for Anambra must open matter how e be, even Monday wey don turn to resting day for many traders. E vex say if di sit-at-home no happen for Umuahia, Kanu own town, why Onitsha and Nnewi still dey close? Na him pappy! E dey serious oh!
Di Governor no just talk am like that, he don give market people one ultimatum: either to renovate or rebuild. Either dem go modernize di old market or tear am down completely to build new one. E no wan hear say di market sef dey close again. Abeg, wetin una fit do for di business to flow freely again? E get as e be.
As e dey so, di point wey Soludo dey hammer na say im go provide beta security for di markets to make sure say traders no dey fear to open shop. E don warn say if dem no change, government go take strong actions. Di whole town dey under stress because of dis sit-at-home wahala wey don dey happen since years.
Di market leaders, especially Chijioke Okpalugo wey be di Onitsha Main Market Chairman, don promise say dem go comply with di Governor’s instructions. But, dem sef don express concern about how security go work for dem to carry buyers from outside enter di markets.
E no finish yet! IPOB don come out too, dey back di sit-at-home, say na peaceful protest wey dem fit do to demand for justice for Kanu wey don dey inside. Dem dey tell everybody say dis sit-at-home no be bad thing, and governor sef no fit intimidate dem because na dia right to protest.
All dis drama go continue as Soludo dey promise say he go make sure say di markets dey secure. Him wan make Anambra shine like di best trading hub for di whole Africa. But dem sit-at-home no dey represent Kanu again, e don change since e land for here.
