OGC Nice go face RC Strasbourg for Allianz Riviera by 15h, for di sixth matchday of Ligue 1. Di game na one of di matches wey people dey wait for after di international break wey last three weeks.
Olivier Pantaloni don choose starting eleven wey be exactly same as di one wey carry victory against LOSC on 20 September, 2-1. Di XI na: Diouf; Clauss, Abdelmonem, Ndayishimiye, Mandza, Nkounkou; Coulibaly, Witsel (captain); Hein, Wahi, Amoura. Bench: Boulhendi, Koutoune, Morana, Seidu, A. Camara, Everton, Boudaoui, Diop, Jansson.
Di international break, e come at di right time? Or e go kill di small momentum? Na di question wey people ask three weeks ago. But one thing sure: e allow di red and black fans enjoy di 2-1 win over LOSC small longer. Di happiness match di wait and di importance, because Allianz Riviera crowd no see Gym win Ligue 1 match since 29 October last year. Almost one year.
Now dem hope say OGC Nice go do am two times in a row, but Strasbourg no be small work. Strasbourg dey 9th with 7 points. Dem get talent, but dem hard to read: dem fit catch fire, dem fit also burn themselves, because dem get qualities and sometimes di faults of youth.
Gym dey two points behind but dem no dey last place for Ligue 1. Di break help dem bring players wey need physical work back to level, and dem collect dia about ten internationals back without major wahala. Olivier Pantaloni before now no get plenty room to change things, especially during match. Now e get plenty choices because competition don increase for every position.
All di lights dey green, but e go green pass if Elye Wahi, wey dey generous but no too dey score, fit find him scoring boots again. Against di Alsaciens, na with one sweet curler e start him fine adventure for OGC Nice last season. Then against same RCSA, e score double for cup semi-final and play hero. So people fit hope say dis match na for him.
But if individual players must show up, di whole team must prove say during di ‘too long’ break – as Olivier Pantaloni talk – dem no lose di commitment, determination and good ideas wey dem show against LOSC. Di first win of di season, wey come when situation start dey worry, show di road to follow and show di qualities of dis group.
