Justice Mohammed Umar of one Federal High Court on Monday issue order to Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to upload the name of Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as candidate of Accord Party for 2027 presidential election.
The order come shortly after Justice Umar declare say Olawepo-Hashim na lawfully nominated as presidential candidate of the party.
Olawepo-Hashim bin approach Federal High Court, Abuja, for order to compel Accord Party make e recognize am as im presidential candidate for 2027 general election. The plaintiff also seek another order wey go direct the party to forward im name to INEC as im standard-bearer for the forthcoming general election.
Delivering judgment for the suit on Monday, Justice Umar agree with the plaintiff say the primary election wey produce am na lawfully conducted. The judge add say the purported cancellation of the primary, since dem no communicate am, no be something wey matter.
The court subsequently hold say the plaintiff lawfully emerge as candidate of Accord Party. The court also order say im name suppose dey immediately uploaded by the electoral umpire.
