Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Bayo Lawal, don describe the Ibadan circular road project as a deliberate, visionary masterplan wey dem design to avoid planning failures and secure the future of the state.
Lawal talk this one on Friday for Ibadan, during the inauguration of the newly constructed chairman’s office at the Egbeda Local Government Secretariat.
E talk say every major development dey come with collateral effects on individual properties, but public interest dey pass. E still assure say all persons wey the Circular Road project affect go collect compensation as e suppose be.
Lawal talk say, ‘The circular road no be accidental project. Na deliberate, visionary masterplan to prevent the kind of planning failures we dey see for other cities and to secure the future for Oyo State,’ e tok.
According to Lawal, Egbeda Local Government Area dey strategically positioned for centre of major development corridors, including the 110km Circular Road.
E add say the location give the area plenty prospects for the overall development of the state.
For him remarks, chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Sikiru Sanda, appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde for giving local government chairmen the platform to dey functional and deliver on their mandates.
