Army Change Security For Kebbe, Promise No Safe Haven For Lakurawa

Nigerian Army don draw fresh battle line against Lakurawa terrorist group for Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto State. Dem don deploy stronger security measures to prevent attack again, and to stop terrorists from entering vulnerable border communities.

The renewed offensive come after security concern don high for the area, especially di reported attack on Ungushi community. That attack don make residents fear well well, and e show say dem need stronger military presence around Kebbe town and di communities wey dey around am.

For decisive response, di General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Bemgha Paul Koughna, on Sunday do operational assessment visit to di Forward Operating Base (FOB) for Kebbe and oda affected communities. E go there to see di security situation with im own eye and check di readiness of troops.

Di visit show say Army don determine to make sure Kebbe and di surrounding communities no become safe corridor or operational sanctuary for terrorists wey dey operate along Sokoto-Kebbi axis.

During di assessment, di GOC meet with community leaders and residents. E listen to dia complaints and get first-hand information about di current security situation. Major General Koughna assure di people say troops still fully deployed and alert. E stress say Army no go allow terrorist elements to establish any foothold for dat area, and dem no go threaten di lives, property and livelihoods of innocent citizens.

E warn say security forces go respond sharp and direct to any emerging threat. E make am clear say terrorist groups no go get chance to dey consolidate dia presence for Kebbe and di neighbouring communities.
