According to am, INEC go publish Form EC9 for public inspection today. Dis Form EC9 contain candidates’ affidavits, credentials, and oda personal particulars wey dem submit.
Dem go display di documents for all INEC state offices and offices for di constituencies. Section 29(3) of di Electoral Act, 2026 don provide for publication of Form EC9 within 21 days of receipt. So dis na to follow di Revised Timetable and Schedule of Activities for di 2027 General Election wey INEC release on February 26, 2026.
However, Oketola yarn say e no correct to call wetin dem dey release as ‘list of candidates’, because political parties still get time to withdraw and replace dia candidates before di final list go come out.
