The South American giants opted to rest their players against Cameroon with their qualification for the round of 16 already secured. That decision allowed the African team to pull off a dramatic late win, but that didn’t stop Brazil from finishing top of Group G.
There was even more late drama for South Korea, as they scored a stoppage-time winner against Portugal, which proved to be enough to see them past Uruguay for second place in Group H on goals scored in the group stage. .
After also holding Uruguay to a 0-0 draw in their opener, South Korea will have some hope of giving Brazil a tough test as the World Cup favorites are put under the microscope for the first time.

All eyes will be on whether Neymar can return for this match after an ankle injury sidelined him for games against Switzerland and Cameroon. Danilo has been in the same boat with both originally scheduled to return to the knockout stages. At this stage, the latter is more likely to feature heavily.
Alex Sandro took no chances against Cameroon after picking up a hip injury and his replacement Alex Telles also limped into that match, leaving a question mark over the left-back position.
Gabriel Jesus required scans on his knee after the Cameroon game and will not start this one and Tite is expected to favor Richarlison.
Brazil projected lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): 1. Alisson (GK) — 2. Danilo, 4. Marquinhos, 3. Silva, 6. Sandro — 8. Fred, 5. Casemiro — 11. Raphinha, 7. Paquetá, 20. Vinicius Jr. — 9. Richarlison.
Napoli defender Kim Min-jae missed the Portugal match after hurting his foot against Uruguay and remains a doubt for this match. Kwon Kyung-won took his place against Portugal and didn’t look out of place.
Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan came on to score the game-winning goal in that match and can start on top in favor of Cho Gue-sung.
South Korea used a 4-3-3 formation last time out, but had previously favored a 4-2-3-1 that should return to mimic Brazil’s likely form.

Despite losing their last game, Brazil are still favorites for the 2022 World Cup and should have too much firepower for South Korea.
However, the Koreans will not go down without a fight and have already given a South American side in the form of Uruguay a headache.
