The workshop focused on the preservation of cultural heritage organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of the Central Region was held on January 13-14 at the Asmara City Hall under the theme “Preserving cultural heritage through sustainable management”. coordinated”.

Mr. Endrias Asmeraom, Director General of Culture and Sports of the region, said that the aim of the workshop was to develop the public’s understanding of the importance of cultural heritage, as well as to encourage experts in the field to conduct comprehensive and in-depth research. . so that they are duly preserved and transferred to posterity.

In the workshop, research papers were presented including ‘Importance of Cultural Heritage and its Preservation’, ‘2003 UNESCO Convention and its Implementation in Eritrea’, ‘Role of Tigre Folklore in Society’, ‘Documentation of Heritage culture in Eritrea’, ‘Asmara World Heritage’, ‘Leadership and Management of Cultural Heritage as well as ‘Importance of Cultural Institution’.
