NNN: The PDP Governorship candidate in Kwara, Mallam Shuaib Yahman, has promised to make Kwara United FC a model for others if elected as the next governor of the state in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Yahman stated this during an interview with Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter on Saturday in Ilorin.

“I am not a great fan of foreign football but when I become the Governor of Kwara State, I will make Kwara United a model for other states.

“Kwara State will set pace in the sporting sector in Nigeria and it is my dream that Kwara United wins the Nigeria Professional Football League and Aiteo Cup.” Yaman said.

The PDP guber candidate said he believed Kwara United could win the Aiteo Cup and continue to feature in the continental championships.

He promised that the state sporting sector would rub shoulders with states like Delta and Rivers if elected.
