“You no dey become witness for this kind matter just by reading newspaper. Nobody don serve me any document or subpoena to come appear,” Wike yan. He no wan be part of di drama if court no send am letter say come show face.
Dis wahala come after Kanu, wey be di leader of di Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), dismiss im legal team led by Kanu Agabi (SAN) for Thursday. E even submit list of 23 people wey e wan call as witnesses, with some big names for di politics and military side like Theophilus Danjuma (former Minister of Defence), Tukur Buratai (former Chief of Army Staff), and of course, our own Wike. Na wah o!
Wike no wan answer any question wey concern di calls for political solution for Kanu wey dey languish inside DSS custody since June 2021. Dem don reject plenty requests to let am go for medical treatment. Kanu dey face terrorism charges and e no dey look good for him health.
Wike still use di opportunity to declare sey, if di court serve am properly, e go comply: “If dem give me notice or summon me to appear as witness, I go obey di court orders. But as e be now, no need to dey run like paddy on fire.”
Wike vex say the reports wey say e volunteer to testify na big lie. “If you see Kanu, ask am why e list me. I no send any request to be witness for di case. Na dem wey dey list me suppose explain why dem do am.”
Wike also shed light on di protest wey happen for Abuja wey pro-Kanu supporters organize. He talk sey di security agencies do well to maintain peace and no allow trouble makers scatter di city. “Dem do wetin dem suppose do to make sure say everywhere dey intact. So, make we no turn am to wahala,” e clarify.
For di media chat, Wike no hold back as e also jab Sahara Reporters, for wetin e dey call misinformation about him. “Why you dey listen to dem? Dem no don ever carry any correct story about me. Wetin be di basis for all dis palava?”
Wike manage talk about other issues wey concern city redevelopment and di political atmosphere within di PDP, but as for Goodluck Jonathan presidential contest for 2027, him no wan hear anytin. “Na you dey tell me all dis, I no hear anytin from anybody,” e conclude.
