Wike talk say Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda don bring plenty changes to the university system wey dey important for the country. E highlight Nigerian Education Loan Fund as one major initiative wey don help plenty students access quality education without money wahala.
According to statement wey Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, release, Wike also praise other efforts wey government don put for higher education sector. Dem include the Student Start-up Innovation and Entrepreneurship Grant wey dey empower young entrepreneurs, and the removal of universities from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System. Dis one don return financial independence to the universities.
Wike go further to commend the decision wey allow TETFund research funds to dey kept for the universities. E describe this policy as key to improving research ability and innovation within the institutions. “The Renewed Hope Agenda don inject new life into our university system through landmark interventions wey dey transform education landscape,” Wike talk.
“Furthermore, the kind approval wey allow TETFund Research Funds to dey kept within the institutions don also strengthen capacity for groundbreaking research and innovation. These bold and forward-thinking policies dey position Nigeria’s university system to meet 21st century demands,” he add.
Wike express appreciation to University of Calabar for the honorary degree, saying the recognition dey encourage am to continue to contribute to national development. “As I accept this honorary doctorate, I go do am with new energy to add value to education, good governance, and national development.
