LAGOS, Nigeria — Lagos State Police don arrest 35-year-old woman, Adeola Adewale, for allegedly poisoning 65-year-old Mr. Adebayo to death inside a service apartment for Abule-Egba area on March 27, 2025.
According to the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Adeola and Mr. Adebayo checked into the apartment together. Hours later, she left the place with Adebayo’s car and belongings, telling the housekeeper she go come back soon.
Di next day, during a routine check on March 28, 2025, Mr. Adebayo lifeless body was discovered in di apartment. For di scene, police find empty syringe, two empty cans of malt drink, and two bottles of water, which raised suspicion of foul play.
CSP Hundeyin talk say, “Di investigation of dis homicide case don progress well, and we don catch di suspect on April 26, 2025, around 9:30 p.m. for Oko-Oba area.”
Upon her arrest, Adeola reportedly confess say she don lace one malt drink with poison and give am to Mr. Adebayo, which lead to him dying. “During interrogation, Adeola admit say she administer di poisoned malt drink to di deceased,” Hundeyin explain.
