7 NIBC was formally launched by Nigerian Foreign Minister Geoffrey Onyeama during his visit to India in April 2022 for Raisina Dialogue 2022.
8 India-Nigeria has always enjoyed close and friendly relations that are deeply rooted and are multifaceted.
9 Bilateral trade has been growing steadily and posted a record US$14.95 billion in 2021-22.
10 During the COVID-19 pandemic, both countries have maintained close contacts and supported each other in their fight against the pandemic.
11 MoS’s visit will further boost high-level exchanges and strengthen cooperation with Nigeria, bilaterally and in multilateral fora.
12 MoS had previously visited Nigeria in June 2019 to participate in the Democracy Day celebrations organized by Nigeria.
