Vice President of Brazil assures transition process
Vice President
– The Vice President of Brazil, Hamilton Mourao, reiterated on Tuesday the willingness of the current government to carry out the transition process with the team appointed by President-elect Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Mourao made the remarks while meeting Vice President-elect Geraldo Alckmin, who was chosen by Lula to lead the transition team.

“The transition is underway. We met with Alckmin and everything is going well,” Mourao told reporters after his first face-to-face meeting on the transition with Alckmin.

Former President Lula won the second round of the presidential elections in October, preparing to serve a third four-year term starting January 1, 2023. ■
