The Deputy Foreign Minister signed the book of condolences following the passing of the former Acting Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The two sides also had a discussion to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation.

On January 19, 2022, HE Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Deputy Foreign Minister of Thailand, on behalf of the Thai Prime Minister, visited the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Bangkok to sign the book of condolences following the passing of HE Mr. Ernest Adegunle Oladeinde Shonekan, Former Acting Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
