Valentina Shevchenko relinquishes flyweight title after being choked out by Alexa Grasso
Valentina Shevchenko lost her flyweight championship title to Alexa Grasso in the co-main event of UFC 285 on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Shevchenko was seemingly on course to win until Grasso took her back after perfectly timing a spinning back kick.
Grasso took the chance and eventually cinched in a rear-naked choke, forcing Shevchenko to tap.
Shevchenko was gracious in defeat but lamented the spinning kick which cost her the title.
Shevchenko is hoping for an immediate rematch, stating that she was winning the fight.
