University of Melbourne Commits to Supporting Women’s Career Progression
The University of Melbourne, being one of Australia’s largest and most comprehensive universities, is committed to promoting the advancement of women across all disciplines.


Recently, the university celebrated International Women’s Day by highlighting the contributions of its research to women’s lives and organizing various activities and events across its campus.

Additionally, the university has announced that it will provide $750,000 in pre-seed investment to two innovative female-founded healthcare start-ups, Kali Healthcare and Torch Recruit.

Kali Healthcare is an at-home pregnancy monitoring start-up, while Torch Recruit focuses on clinical trial participant recruitment.
The University of Melbourne’s Pathways to Politics Program, which helps women to develop the necessary skills, knowledge, confidence, and networks to run for elected office and excel as political leaders, is now open for applications for its 2023 intake.
