1 Sports and Youth Development Minister Sunday Dare congratulated Nigerian-born UFC champion Isreal Adesanya on another successful title defense.

3 Adesanya, early Sunday morning in Las Vegas, United States of America, defeated Jared Cannonier to retain his UFC middleweight crown with a unanimous decision win.

4 Dare, in a statement, praised Adesanya for being a worthy youth ambassador for the country.

5 The Minister said that Nigeria is proud of the achievements of Israel Adesanya and another UFC champion, Kamaru Usman, who continue to identify with the country every time they compete.
