A Sweet 16 Victory

The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team claimed a big win against eighth-seeded Arkansas in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. The fourth-seeded UConn emerged victorious, winning the game 88 to 65 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Huskies are Ready to Rely on Adama Sanogo

The junior forward of UConn, Adama Sanogo, has displayed a powerful post-up game and a soft touch around the rim throughout the tournament. He led his team to another victory against Arkansas, with 17.3 points per game, seven and a half rebounds per game, and a sixty percent success rate at field goal attempts.

Graduate Assistant Coaches: The Unsung Heroes

The success of the UConn team is also, in part, attributed to the tireless work of the Graduate Assistant Coaches, Matt Trudeau, and Chris Mastrangelo. The two aspire to become a head coach as they manage class work, practices, and other responsibilities without fixed hours.

Awaiting the Next Challenge

The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team continues to persevere as they move forward with their eyes on the prize. The next challenge would require the victorious team to take on the winner from the match between second-seeded UCLA and third-seeded Gonzaga.
