Two die in Bauchi commissioner’s convoy auto crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), yesterday, disclosed that two people were killed and one other injured in a fatal crash involving the convoy of Bauchi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki.

FRSC Sector Commander, Bauchi State, Yusuf Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said the accident, which involved five male adults, occurred on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at about 2:25p.

m., at Miya town, along Miya – Warji in Warji Local Council of the state.

White Toyota Hilux
He said the White Toyota Hilux government vehicle, marked: BA18 A08 collided with a commercial motorcyclist, identified as Muhammad Muawuya.
The FRSC boss said that the fatal crash was caused by speed limit violation, which led to a loss of control.
“The multiple crash was caused by speed violation, which resulted in a loss of control and subsequently, a collision between the vehicle and the motorcycle, involving five male adults.
Kafin Madaki General Hospital
“The victims who were in the entourage of the Commissioner, were rushed to the Kafin Madaki General Hospital by the Commissioner for treatment and confirmation.
“It was in the hospital that a medical doctor confirmed two people dead.
One other person sustained injuries and a fracture,” he said.
