According to a statement issued by the Libyan government’s information office, the Turkish ambassador made the remarks during a meeting with Libyan Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Al-Qatrani in the capital Tripoli.
The statement said that “during the meeting, the Turkish ambassador expressed his country’s enthusiasm for supporting the efforts of the political path by listening to all the points of view of all political parties.”
“He also underlined the need to reactivate diplomatic and consular representation in Benghazi as soon as possible, as well as the return of trade between Turkey and eastern Libya,” the statement added.
Al-Qatrani praised Turkey’s support for Libya and called for improved joint cooperation between the two countries.
