Troops Rescue Kidnapped Officers for Naija, Operation Whirl Stroke No Dey Play!

Makurdi, Benue State – E be like say Naija soldiers don show say dem no dey slack! For matter wey happen on September 26, 2025, troops of the Joint Task Force Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) don rescue two officers wey dem kidnap from Nigeria Immigration Service for Ukum Local Government Area.

According to Lt. Ahmad Zubairu, wey be Acting Media Information Officer for OPWS, dem launch the operation after dem gather better intelligence from ‘superior authorities’ say the officers, David Iorwuese and Oliver Orasuur, don waka enter trouble. Dem no just sit down dey watch the gossip; dem take action!

The troops no waste time at all. Dem do coordinated search and rescue mission for Tse Tembe and Adamawa Village, wey dey under Azendeshi Council Ward. For Adamawa Village, na there dem finally catch the two officers after the kidnappers, like ‘fowl wey don see cat’, quickly flee the scene. Talk about swift action!

“The rescued officers dey in safe custody of the troops, receiving preliminary medical attention and debriefing,” Zubairu tok for statement. Bros, dem dey alright, no cause for alarm—na soldier matter be this!

The Force Commander, Maj. Gen. Moses Gara, don’t thank the troops wey gas up well for their bravery and commitment. He say this kind success dey show how serious OPWS dey respond to distress calls and to protect citizens. If you ask me, dem oga dem no dey play!

Mr. Gara still dey put mouth for food matter too. He encourage communities make dem continue to give security agencies better and timely information wey go help reduce criminal activities. Na teamwork go help everybody—abi you no fit expect say soldier go carry everything waka alone, na so wahala go full ground.

For Naija, we sabi say food security na major issue, especially for Benue and surrounding areas. So, we dey pray make this kind operations continue, so that our farmers go fit operate without fear of being picked by ‘unknown gunmen’. Shout out to our troops for their gallant work!
