According to the team statement wey dem drop around 8:35 AM, dem talk say: “E dey with extreme sadness say Marshawn Kneeland don tragically die this morning. Wey wey, Marshawn na beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers dey with his girlfriend, Catalina, and his family.” (This one na very touching, e no easy!)
Kneeland just start the second season with the team dis year, and only three days before him death, him score him first career touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals. You fit imagine na wetin dey happen – this young man only dey find him way for life, then something go so wrong.
As second-round pick (56th overall) wey come from Western Michigan, Kneeland don play 7 out of 9 games this season, recording 15 tackles, one sack, and six pressures on quarterback. Late last night, dem report say him run from police after crash, and later dem find am with what authorities dey call a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to Frisco Police, Kneeland never just get accident, but na wahala follow as he no stop for Texas Department of Public Safety and decide to flee on foot. This one be clear sign that he get some serious wahala wey him dey face. I no go lie, na sad story be this!
