LONDON, England — Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage thrilled fans at the iconic O2 Arena on Wednesday as she joined American R&B star Usher Raymond on stage, sparking rumors of a potential collaboration. The performance took place during Usher’s sixth tour stop for his ‘Past Present Future’ tour.
Savage, known for her hit single ‘Somebody’s Son’ featuring Brandy, delivered a captivating solo performance that sent cheers rippling through the crowd. The excitement escalated with the arrival of Usher, who playfully acknowledged Tiwa’s presence during the after-show party.
“Thank you, @Usher Raymond,” Tiwa expressed in a video she shared on TikTok, capturing the electrifying moment. She later posted on Instagram, showcasing her at the after-show where Usher humorously granted her just “30 seconds” on stage before they both launched into another vibrant performance.
Fans were treated to an exhilarating experience as Tiwa showcased her impressive vocal skills with the support of Usher’s live band. Her recent ventures include a new single titled ‘You4Me,’ which will be part of her upcoming fourth studio album, ‘This One is Personal.’ She has also released other singles like ‘Forgiveness,’ ‘Mega Money Mega,’ and ‘Commitment’ featuring Craig David.
On December 28, 2024, Tiwa hinted at a possible retirement from music, stating on her Instagram page: “This might be my last studio album. I am tired, I don try.” She has expressed feelings of exhaustion but is eager to leave a strong mark with her latest works. Tiwa’s discography includes previous albums such as ‘Once Upon a Time’ (2013), ‘R.E.D’ (2015), and ‘Celia’ (2020).
