Just last week, the president give Ms. Nkiruka Madueke notice off from her position as Director General. E no dey play o, as she no reach one year wey dem appoint am! According to wetin we hear from the president’s spokesperson Mr. Onanuga, Tinubu don appoint Mrs. Omotenioye Majekodunmi as the new head of the council. She be climate finance expert wey don put in serious work for more than 17 years, ranging from renewable energy to carbon markets (that one dey sound like something wey fit make post-boom money, abi na wetin you see?).
As Madam Nkiruka dey waka with her bag of achievements, Tinubu no forget to praise her for the foundational role wey she play for di council. Na so e go be, even if e no make sense, we go find reason to thank her, na wetin we dey do for Nigeria!
Omotenioye Majekodunmi no just dey waka come anyhow. Before dis new job, she don dey serve as di Council’s Financial Adviser, where she contribute serious matter to Nigeria’s climate policies and international rules.
