The Haaland Family Celebrates Manchester City’s Premier League Title
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland made headlines during Sunday’s Premier League title celebrations, but it wasn’t just the young striker who caught people’s attention. The Norwegian’s rarely seen older brother, Astor, and his sister, Gabrielle, were also present for the festivities alongside their father and former City midfield player, Alf-Inge Haaland.
Although Astor, who is five years older than his brother Erling, studied finance at the BI Norwegian Business School, little else is known about him. He was born from Alf-Inge’s relationship with Gry Marita Braut, and he appeared to be reveling in City’s fifth league crown in only five seasons.
The two brothers share both a passion for football and a towering presence, but Astor remarkably appears to hold the height advantage over the 6’4″ Viking. Erling, who has secured his place in England’s history books with his 36 goal record for a single season in the Premier League, has already made a name for himself not just in Europe but across the world.
It’s not the first time Astor has shown support for his brother. His Instagram account features a number of photos that demonstrate his support for Erling in matches for Bryne, Norway, and Borussia Dortmund. As for the sister Gabrielle, she was also present for the celebration of her brother’s first Premier League title.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is already looking forward to major games against Manchester United and Inter Milan, with Haaland being the key to ending the club’s long wait for a Champions League crown. For the Haaland family, the celebrations will continue, as there could yet be another opportunity to toast City’s success this season.
