Tax Matter Don Get New Papa: Meet Nigeria Tax Ombudsman

Abuja, Nigeria – The federal government don appoint Dr. John Nwabueze as di new Tax Ombudsman. This matter no be small thing o, as e align well with di Joint Revenue Board of Nigeria (Establishment) Act, 2025. Na big responsibility wey President Bola Tinubu don give am, and e fit show say di government dey serious about tax reforms.

According to Bayo Onanuga, wey be special adviser to di President, this appointment na part of Tinubu’s plan to make sure say everybody dey follow di tax rules without wahala. The President don yan say him dey trust Nwabueze to carry di load with integrity and professionalism. (We sabi say we need people wey go take tax matter serious, no be joke).

Nwabueze dey come from Oshimili South Local Government Area for Delta State. E no be fresh guy for di tax industry; e don work as Managing Partner for one top tax advisory firm, and e don serve as Technical Adviser for Joint Senate Committees wey dey handle Federal Capital Territory and Finance. Na serious experience with plenty qualifications e carry come.

For school matter, Nwabueze get Doctorate for Business Administration (Finance) from Walden University, Master’s for Accounting from Strayer University, and two Bachelor’s degrees for Accounting and Mathematics from University of Jos. (E fit calculate una tax o, no worry).
