BusinessDay Newspaper management, in a letter, stated that TAJBank was awarded the award for its innovation in packaging customer-friendly products and services.
The letter read: “When it started operations in 2019, TAJBank took the banking sector by storm.
“Its revolutionary agency banking model, suite of innovative retail products, depth of commercial banking, experience and world-class private banking service resonated with clients.
“TAJBank’s knowledgeable and courteous staff, excellent technology platform, and inclusive corporate culture have earned praise in the northern states, where it operates.”
At its current growth rate, BRIU analysts project that TAJBank could capture up to 65 percent of that market growth once it obtains a national banking license, ”he added.
Meanwhile, TAJBank founder and COO Hamid Joda described the award as evidence that the bank was on the right track in its sustained push to redefine interest-free banking in Nigeria.
Joda cited innovation and customer-centric products and services as a strong attraction for the bank.
“We are honored with the award and want to assure regulatory authorities, our shareholders and customers that we will not back down in our efforts to consistently deliver the best to our customers.
“We will continue to increase our shareholders’ funds, return on their investments, and most importantly, expand the boundaries of our operations so that more Nigerians can benefit from quality products and services across the country.
“I want to say that the award is dedicated to our clients, who, as we say, are our sole interest,” he added.
According to TAJBank’s chief marketing officer and co-founder, Mr. Sheriff Idi, the award is highly valued by our board and management as we do not push it.
“The newspaper’s management has said that the quality of our banking products and services, professionalism, and inclusive corporate culture earned TAJBank the award.
“We cannot afford to compromise in our efforts to continue offering the best to our customers,” said Idi.
