    Alhaji Waziri Ba’Aba, a representative of the CONFER Cleaning and Hygiene Services, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise.

    The projects were for the procurement of a Toyota vehicle and provision of furniture, while two of the projects would be executed in Abuja,

    including the construction of a guest house and fencing of the hospital’s plot of land.

    The exercise was attended by various contracting firms; representatives of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), media and legal firms.

    Lagos, April 12, 2019 Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hauwa Idris-Adamu, was on Friday named the new Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2 Command, comprising of Ogun and Lagos States.

    The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Command, Mr Shehu Lawan, announced the appointment in a statement.

    Lawan said that the appointment, which took immediate effect, was sequel to the redeployment of Dolapo Badmos, a Chief Superintendent of Police, to Force Headquarters, Abuja.

    “The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2, AIG. has appointed DSP Hauwa Idris-Adamu as the Acting Zonal Police Public Relations Officer.

    “Sequel to the redeployment of the erstwhile Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, the appointment takes immediate effect,” the statement said.

    “DSP. Hauwa Idris-Adam hails from Borno State and she is a graduate of Geography from the University of Maiduguri,” the statement said.

    The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Idris-Adamu served at the Zonal 2 Criminal Intelligence and investigation Department until her appointment as Zonal PPRO. .

    Gombe, Dec. 28, 2018 (NNN) President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, reiterated his appeal to all Nigerians to continue to live in peace to enable the nation witness giant strides in all fields of human endeavour.

    The President made the appeal in Gombe at the opening ceremony of the 33rd National Qur’anic Recitation Competition, organised by the Centre for Islamic Studies, Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto.

    The News Agency of Nigeria (NNN) reports that the President was represented at the occasion by Malam Suleiman Hassan, Minister of Environment.

    He said: “We must strive to live in peace with one another. We must try and increase our intimacy or relationship amongst ourselves which will further strengthen our ties as a nation.

    “This administration is not relenting to secure peace for our nation to grow further and to achieve such peace, we must increase our knowledge.

    The chairman, who was represented by Prof. Sani Abdulmumuni, Dean of Faculty of Arts, University of Maiduguri, said the competition would strengthen the knowledge of Islam in youths.

    Also speaking, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, represented by the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu-Abubakar III, thanked the organisers for sustaining the competition over the years.
