The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Adeboye, who was the Special Guest, was accompanied to the occasion by Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa.
NAN also reports that the cleric was in the state for a two-day RCCG programme, tagged: “Light Up Delta.”
The general overseer, who had earlier attended the seventh anniversary thanksgiving and praise day of the Okowa-led government, said that giving praises to God would attract more blessings.
According to him, it is not a secret that God is doing great things in Delta through Okowa.
The pastor, while praying for the state, the government and the people, quoted Psalm 147:1,saying: “when we praise God, we are asking Him to do more.
“I am in Delta tell the forces of darkness that there is no room in this state.”
On his part, Okowa urged banks and other financial institutions to de-emphasise profit and partner more with people for improved socio-economic development in the country.
He expressed gladness with the establishment of the bank in the state and commended the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Emmanuel Emefienem, for the great feat.
“I am glad to see what I see here today. It is beautiful and I thank God for that. I want to congratulate you today on this great feat and the fourth branch of your bank.
“I also congratulate you, the managing director, on the very wonderful name you have given to the bank.
“I believe it was Holy Spirit-led. I know the kind of person you are and I believe that the bank will be of great service to the people and impact lives.
“Banking services are unique. I believe too that as long as it is done in such a mutual relationship with the customers where everybody wins, it is definitely going to be of a great service to the people.
“We need banks to truly partner with the people and not just to make gains from them. I hope that your service will be geared in that direction,” he said.
The governor assured that the people and government of the state would partner with the bank.
Earlier at the anniversary, Okowa thanked God for His faithfulness, saying that at the beginning of his administration, things were tough but two years later, God manifested Himself as prophesied.
He thanked God for his predecessors, Chief James Ibori and Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, for laying the foundation upon which his administration was built.
Okowa said that the reason for the thanksgiving was that “God has done much for us as a state.”
The governor, however, urged the people to remain united and continue to promote peace in the state.
In his address of welcome, Emefienem stated that the bank was not just out to do business but also to impact and improve on the lives of the people.
“As a son of the soil, the bank is not just here to do business but also to impact on the people. I know the people and the terrain,” he said. (

Some pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have called for unity among its leaders and members to edify the church, glorify God and build the nation.
The clerics made the call at a youth programme organised by the Church titled “togetherness”, on Monday, in Abuja.
The Regional Youth Pastor of Region 10, Pastor Odun Emasealu, who quoted from Psalm 133 verse 1 from the Bible, said unity in the church draws anointing.
“Once there is unity, there is a blessing reserved. God says their is a blessing reserved for people that pray together in unity.
“It is different from general blessings. So, what we are aiming at is to access that reserved allocated blessing for those that dwell together in unity.
“I am trusting God that at the end of today our destinies will change forever,” he said.
Pastor Akin Meseko, in charge of Youth Province 6, said the voice of togetherness could move mountains.
“The event is to bring all the youth and young adults together, so we can all come together as various units of the youth.
“We recognise that together we move, together we are a team, together we increase, so we are coming together into greatness and we are carefree.
“When we bring our strength together, we are much more than the ordinary, we are much more than what others see in us.“Our strength enhances our togetherness and that is why the vision was built,” he said.
Pastor Tunde Benjamins-Laniyi of the Throne Room Transcrop, advised the youth to take charge and conquer.
“I will advised the youth to take responsibility, take ownership and let’s walk together.
” The force of unity is a force that cannot be easily broken.
“When we come together, we succeed together, we move together.
“The curdling effect, the multiplier effect of us coming together is so powerful; it can over come every obstacle, break all barriers be it tribal, cultural, physical, religious and other barriers.
“So, coming together is very important that is why we have this programme, so we can walk together, “he said.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG) on Sunday said surrendering totally to God would bring about elevation and fulfilment of dreams.
Adeboye said this in his sermon with the theme ‘ Supernatural Elevation” at the May thanksgiving on Sunday.
According to him, elevation simply means movement to a higher level, quoting Psalm 121:1-2 and John 12:32.
He added that supernatural things were easy to understand if it was broken into two; which are super and natural.
“It is simply saying something that is superior to the natural. In other words, there is the natural and there is something that is superior to the natural. Isaiah 40: 28-31.
“If the natural hooks up with the supernatural, then the natural will be able to do what ordinary people cannot do.
Supernatural is that which enables the natural, the ordinary to do that which cannot be done by ordinary means.
“Judges Samson was brought to the Philistines and the supernatural came upon Samson and the ropes binding Samson broke as if it is touched by fire .
“He took the jaw bone of an animal that became the vessel of mass destruction and killed a thousand of people because he became connected to the supernatural, Judges 16:4-6.”
Adeboye said that the supernatural, that which is beyond the natural, could be found in two categories.
These, he said were, divine, supernatural that comes from God that’s the power that comes from God, Psalm 62:11, or the one that comes from the devil, Ephesians 2: 2.
“There is evil power that comes from the devil and there is good power that comes from God. The power of the Almighty God is superior to any power that the devil has Philippians 2: 9-11.
“Supernatural Elevation means reaching a hight that you cannot reach by natural means. Power that is beyond natural power moving you to a new height.”
Adeboye gave examples of people in the Bible that God elevated through total surrender to include Joseph, David among others who surrendered to God and was elevated.
“Are you ready to do God’s will all the days of your life? It doesn’t matter where you are hiding, He will bring you in the open.
“The sun of somebody is about to rise and when your sun rises, God will see it that it never set.
“Are you willing to surrender your life to Him and do His will at all times? Until you surrender completely to God, the elevation will not start and if it had started, it will stop.
“ If you want to completely surrender your life to Jesus asking Him to take over your life completely from now on.
“come to Him now because He is the one who can make sure your promotion is permanent.
“He is the one who can fulfil all dreams. Come to Him now to completely surrender to Him,” he said.

The general superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has advised Nigerians to avoid vices and embrace righteousness, which the event represents. Delivering his Easter message, with the theme "Risen with Christ," the clergyman urged that the meaning of the celebration be interiorized through the renewal of lives. “As resurrection power comes into your life, it comes with renewal. “The renewal is not limited to individuals but is available for the nation of Nigeria, continent of Africa, Asia, America, Europe and others. "Such renewal has the ability to affect your mind, heart, energy, vision, consciousness, among others." Along the same lines, Pastor Adonri Osaretin of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Spring Forth Zonal Headquarters, Lugbe, Abuja, has urged Nigerians not to give up because God is not done with them. Osaretin gave the advice at the RCCG Spring Forth Easter Music Concert titled; "The Galilee Experience". He explained that the Galilee experience was what happened to the apostle Peter, who had denied Jesus three times during the crucifixion. He said that the Apostle Peter returned to Galilee and did not give up, he still waited on the Lord and returned to Him. The clergyman said that “the truth is that the time of waiting is a period in which your faith and patience are tested. “Your trust in Almighty God must be total. "Things can happen in the country that you don't want, or you expect, but don't give up." He recognized that it was good to thank God for all the good “that we have received”. Osaretin urged Christians to believe in God and all his works with all their faith firmly in place, adding, "We are bound to have greater testimonies this Easter and beyond." The Nigerian News Agency reports that several parishes gave song performances while various Bible verses were read. Source Credit: NAN
