    The purpose of the meeting was to identify priorities and strengthen mutual cooperation and partnership in accordance with the five-year Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework launched between the Government of Eritrea and UN agencies launched on January 25 in Asmara.

    Veteran fighter Romodan joined the Eritrea Liberation Front (ELF) in 1964 and was Commissioner of the Fourth Department in the early years of the liberation struggle. Mr. Romodan was one of the founders of the Eritrea People's Liberation Front (EPLF).
