  •  Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency CSDA has organised a Facility Management Maintenance and Sustainability training for 180 Community Projects Monitoring Committee CPMC members across four locations in the state Malam Momoh Dauda General Manager of the Agency who disclosed this in his inaugural speech at Okene on Friday said the training was to equip the participants with requisite skills to maintain and sustain micro projects in their communities Dauda said that the training programme was taking place in four locations across the three Senatorial Districts of the state He said that 440 intervention projects cutting across six sectors had been executed in the state under the agency s Community Driven Development CDD approach since inception of the World Bank assisted project in the state He said that the programme had a maintenance training component to enable sustainability of the intervention projects in Health Education Water Roads Electricity and Infrastructure sectors This is part of our activities and responsibility to the communities and groups that we have intervened We are training them on how to maintain and sustain the projects to enable them to derive optimum benefits That s why you see that we are involving our desk officers from various ministries to handle the training in the six core sectors of our intervention the general manager said He urged the communities representatives to take adequate care of the facilities and count themselves lucky to have benefitted from the intervention saying that over 300 communities were currently on the agency s demand list He said that the training was taking place in four locations including Okene with 60 participants Kabba 60 Anyigba 40 and Okpo 20 Dauda commended the state government under Gov Yahaya Bello for according necessary support to the agency to undertake the projects saying that the agency would do more in line with its slogan We will continue to approach the government for assistance and I am very optimistic that His Excellency for the love he has for the people will oblige us to do more for the people he said At Okene Engineers Gabriel Akubor Abimaje Eneojo Victor Oyibo and Mr Musa Olusegun all Desk Officers took the participants through the training and charged them to ensure proper book keeping and effective communication with community members Edited By Abiodun Esan and Abdullahi Yusuf NAN

    Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) has organised a Facility Management, Maintenance and Sustainability training for 180 Community Projects Monitoring Committee (CPMC) members across four locations in the state.

    Malam Momoh Dauda, General Manager of the Agency, who disclosed this in his inaugural speech at Okene on Friday, said the training was to equip the participants with requisite skills to maintain and sustain micro projects in their communities.

    Dauda said that the training programme was taking place in four locations across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.

    He said that 440 intervention projects cutting across six sectors had been executed in the state under the agency’s Community-Driven Development (CDD) approach since inception of the World Bank-assisted project in the state.

    He said that the programme had a maintenance training component to enable sustainability of the intervention projects in Health, Education, Water, Roads, Electricity and Infrastructure sectors.
