  •  A 36 year old commercial motorcyclist Monday Jacob was on Thursday arraigned in Okitipupa Ondo State over alleged unlawful possession of firearm and threat to life The defendant whose address was not given is facing a two count charge before Chief Magistrate Chris Ojuola He however pleaded not guilty The prosecutor ASP Zedekiah Orogbemi told the court that the defendant sometime in July on Cele Road Ode Aye in Okitipupa possessed a single barrel dane gun without a satisfactory explanation on how he got it Orogbemi also said that the defendant on Sept 15 about 8 00 p m at No 12 Odo Ojomo Street Ode Aye in Okitipupa also threatened the life of one Mr Festus Arowojolu during an argument Orogbemi said that the offences were punishable under Sections 430 1 and 86 1 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ondo State 2006 The chief magistrate granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50 000 and a surety in like sum He added that the surety must reside within the court s jurisdiction and show evidence of two years tax payment to the state government He adjourned the case until Oct 18 for hearing NewsSourceCredit NAN

    Motorcyclist arraigned for alleged unlawful possession of gun

    A 36-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Monday Jacob, was on Thursday arraigned in Okitipupa, Ondo State, over alleged unlawful possession of firearm and threat to life.

    The defendant, whose address was not given, is facing a two-count charge before Chief Magistrate Chris Ojuola.

    He, however, pleaded not guilty.

    The prosecutor, ASP Zedekiah Orogbemi, told the court that the defendant sometime in July, on Cele Road, Ode-Aye in Okitipupa,  possessed a single-barrel dane gun without a satisfactory explanation on how he got it.

    Orogbemi also said that the defendant, on Sept.15, about 8:00 p.

    m at No.12, Odo Ojomo Street, Ode-Aye in Okitipupa,  also threatened the life of one Mr Festus Arowojolu during an argument.
