    On the sidelines of the 77th United Nations General Assembly, Eritrea's high-level delegation led by Mr. Osman Saleh, Foreign Minister, held bilateral talks with delegates from various countries and participated in the Group of 77 and China .

    The delegation, made up of Presidential Adviser Mr. Yemane Geabreab and Mrs. Sofia Tesamariam, Permanent Representative of Eritrea to the United Nations, met and spoke with Mr. Hussein Abdelbagi Akol-Agang, Vice President of South Sudan, as well as with Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Furhan Al-Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Denis Moncada Colindres, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua and the Mr. Abdulla Shahid, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.

    On the sidelines of the 77th United Nations General Assembly, Eritrea's high-level delegation led by Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister for Foreign Affairs, has participated in several high-level meetings and held bilateral talks with delegates from several countries .

    In the meeting between Minister Osman Saleh and the People's Power Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Carlos Faria Torsoa, both parties discussed bilateral diplomatic relations, as well as cooperation and solidarity in multilateral forums; both sides also agreed to further deepen their consultations and expand relations.

    They also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter, of which they are members.

    Minister Osman Saleh also had an extensive discussion with his Algerian counterpart, Mr. Ramtane Lamamara, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Algeria, focusing on global, continental and regional issues.

    Both sides, recognizing Africa's marginalization on the world stage, called for their legitimate position and proper consideration of their voices.
