President Wavel Ramkalawan received Miss Ellis Chan Pen Tive, who recently obtained a double degree in Accounting and Finance with a minor in Forensic Accounting, for a courtesy call at the State House yesterday morning.
The president congratulated Ellis on her accomplishments and together they discussed possible future careers and opportunities given the high demand for her field of study.
"Well done for making Seychelles and your family proud.
Your domain of study; forensic accounting is an area where we need more expertise.
I wish you the best of luck for the future and urge you to continue to challenge yourself towards a continuing professional development," the president said.
Ellis received a scholarship following her studies at the School of Business Studies, where she completed a Diploma in Accounting and Finance.
She currently works at Raffle Hotel as a revenue auditor.
She was accompanied on her visit to Government House by her father, Mr. Derrick Chang Pen Tive, and her aunt, Mrs. Myra Labrosse.
