In its third issue of the electronic newsletter published in December 2021, the Central Information Systems Division (CISD) of the Ministry of Information Technologies, Communications and Innovation highlights the main activities in which the Division has actively participated in the last six months, including the implementation of the digital COVID-19 Vaccination Pass (Vaksinal Pass) through the COVAC System developed by the Applications Development Unit.
The data capture of the vaccination sheets began on July 20, 2021 and the digital COVID-19 Vaccination Pass became a reality on October 1, 2021. The data capture process began with the CISD Officials and of the Ministry of Information Technologies, Communication and Innovation. It was provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. CISD officers captured an average of 5,500 to 6,500 forms daily between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM in the COVAC system. The data capture was later complemented by officials from different Ministries and Departments as of September 1, 2021.
Other successfully implemented projects include: support for the online publication of the PRB 2021 report; E-payslip application designed for civil service officials to allow users to access their respective payment receipts online; replacement of equipment of the Government Intranet System; Systems of the Applications Development Unit; and the rapid deployment of the electronic payroll system developed internally by CISD.
The electronic newsletter further highlights the ambitious new goal set by the CISD regarding the renewal of the current payroll system to a New Government Payroll System and its implementation in 2022. The new system is expected to streamline operations related to the payroll and eliminate manual processes from current payroll activities. The goal is also to adopt the latest technologies that provide better robustness, resilience and security of the systems.
