Nasarawa State House of Assembly lawmaker Luka Zhekaba has promised to initiate more projects to improve the standard of living in his constituency, if re-elected in 2023. The lawmaker represents Obi II Constituency at the parliament on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
Zhekaba gave the assurance while hosting Migili Youth Association World Wide, at the assembly complex on Wednesday in Lafia.
Zhekaba, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Environment, appreciated Migili youths for encouraging his leadership style at the state legislature.
“I want to thank you for congratulating me over my victory at the PDP primaries.
“I also want to appreciate you for assessing my capital projects, youths and women empowerment and other programmes.
“I want to re-assure you that I will continue to improve on the standard of living of our people by initiating projects and policies that will have direct bearing on the lives of our people.
“I will initiate more projects in order to continue to change the lives of our people positively, if re-elected in 2023,” he said.
Zhekaba had pledged continued effective representation of his constituency at the state legislature.
He solicited the support of the youth and other constituents to enable him to win the assembly seat for another term.
The lawmaker called on Migili people to continue to unite and tolerate one another, irrespective of their affiliations, for development to thrive.
Earlier, Mr Agidis Jesse, the President of Migili Youth Association, said the visit was to congratulate Zhekaba over his victory at the just concluded PDP primaries.
“We are also here to thank you for the projects, employment, empowerment and other development projects that you have provided for our people.
“We appreciate you for the water projects you have completed and we appeal for the completion of the ongoing water projects in other communities in our Constituency, ” he said.
The President assured the lawmaker of their support to enable him to succeed.
