This is contained in a statement from Ogunseye, the UK APC Advertising Secretary on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr. Ade Omole, Leader of APC UK in a pose with Sen Abdullahi Adamu, National President of APC
Ogunseye quoted the president as saying that synergy between the APC National Secretariat and diaspora members was critical to engendering better relations between members for the common good of the party and the country as a whole.
He expressed his gratitude to Omole and members of the diaspora for their openness and commitment to the ideals of the party and for projecting the achievements of the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He praised the UK chapter for its tireless efforts to shape public perception of the APC-led administration through continued engagement on its various social networks.
Adamu praised the chapter for publishing a 20-page booklet showcasing their achievements.
Seeking more support from the diaspora, APC's national chairman encouraged Nigerians in the diaspora to be good ambassadors for the country.
He promised to be part of the next highly subscribed APC UK virtual conference scheduled for April 10, which they were expected to attend.
Omole said the UK chapter has created a web portal for the compendium of achievements of the APC-led government to better inform Nigerians at home and abroad about the leaps and bounds of the Buhari administration.
“As of today, the APC UK Facebook page has more than 10 million daily views worldwide, through that channel, the many activities of the Federal Government of Nigeria are published for public broadcast.
“The APC UK Twitter handle, which by the way is the only verified handle among all Diaspora handles, has been a veritable platform to checkmate the government fake news of the moment since 2015.
“Through the handle, we have been promoting the image of the party and putting the leadership in proper perspective in the face of the many baseless narratives that are often published,” Omole said.
According to him, this has greatly helped the party in shaping public perception of the ruling APC.
He expressed optimism that, given his position as a senior statesman, former governor and senator, Adamu, as national chairman of the APC, was well equipped to successfully run party affairs.
The Nigerian News Agency reports that Adamu emerged as APC national chairman at the March 26 National Convention as a consensus candidate after six other challengers resigned for him.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), launched its Bakery, Water and Clothing Factories and Skills Acquisition and Business Development (SAED) for North-Central.
The Nigerian News Agency reports that the projects were inaugurated on Monday. Abdullahi Sule from Nasarawa State, at Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Sule praised the NYSC for the laudable achievement, adding that the companies underlined the importance of not only acquiring a degree but also a skill.
“So, I want to thank you for your vision, for redefining and reinvigorating NYSC, and for bringing this vision to life.
“I want to assure you that by God, we will not only sponsor the products that you have here as a state, but we will find ways to work together as a team because this is coming just in time.
"I firmly believe that from God Nigeria will win, our leaders will continue to be blessed with the wisdom to overcome all the challenges we face."
NYSC CEO, Maj.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, at the opening, said that the execution of the projects was to revitalize the NYSC Ventures and SAED program in line with the NYSC Law for greater impact.
According to him, both ventures are very important in light of the economic realities that prevail today.
“SAED is geared towards empowering youth corps members for self-employment and wealth creation.
“NYSC businesses, which include agricultural and other businesses, aim to provide some of our kit items and other essentials for completion of the orientation course.
“This is in addition to serving as a source of income and training ground for members of the youth corps.
"Our priority attention to the development of enterprises is particularly in line with the policies of the Federal Government on food security and diversification of the economy through the optimization of the nation's potential in non-oil sectors."
While highlighting some of the organization's achievements through NYSC companies elsewhere in the country, Ibrahim said that more than N1 billion was generated through these sources and paid into Federal Government coffers between 2020 and 2021. .
He said that while the new bakery, clothing and water factories were indicative of the organization's commitment to expanding its income-generating platforms, they would also serve as additional training pathways for corps members to enroll in relevant vocational skills under the SAED program.
He added that the complex was unique in that it had the largest number of NYSC factories located in the same location.
The NYSC chief said that, like similar ones set up for the Northeast, Northwest and Southwest, it would give youth corps members access to effective post-camp training in different vocational skill areas.
“We are already in discussions with Nasarawa State University about a proposed partnership where the institution's Unit will use this facility to impart business skills to both corpsmen and interested youth from the Keffi community. ”.
He urged facility managers to safeguard equipment maintenance standards at all times, adding that NYSC management will provide all necessary support for the effective operation and sustainability of the ventures.
Senator Abdullahi Adamu, a former governor of the state and president of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said skills acquisition was highly critical.
This, he said, was because the government was not in a position to employ all members of the corps after graduation.
“So this type of initiative is very laudable and beyond the training skills that we have to also train these young people in the know-how, the approach of being self-sufficient,” he said.
NYSC Director of Business Management, Mr. Momoh Mohammed, said that the garment factory was equipped with 100 industrial sewing machines and other machines necessary for the production of high-quality kit items to be supplied to the members.
He also said that the water factory had three water packaging lines for the production of sachet water, as well as bottled water for pets and dispensers.
“In the bakery, we have installed a modern oven and other equipment necessary for the production of enriching bread for health.
“It is instructive to note that products from our bakery and water factory will be supplied to orientation camps in accordance with our mandate and will also be sold to the general public.”

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says that in eight years, the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government has embarked on the largest investments in infrastructure and agriculture in Nigerian history. Osinbajo's spokesman, Laolu Akande, in a statement on Sunday, said the vice president spoke on Saturday night at the APC convention, held in Eagles Square, Abuja. "We had to deal with terrorist activities, insurgency and security challenges in parts of the country." Osinbajo said that Nigerians remained steadfast, resilient and determined to see the Nigeria of their dreams, while the government also remained steadfast, determined, committed and focused. He said that the achievements of the administration in the areas of infrastructure and social investment were highlighted, as well as the contributions of the private sector to national development. “Eight years later, our party government and the Nigerian people have embarked on the largest infrastructure investments in our history; investments in railways, highways, energy and broadband connectivity. `We have birthed an irreversible agricultural revolution, investing more in agriculture than any previous government in our nation's history. “We have established the largest social investment programs in sub-Saharan Africa, feeding 9.5 million children daily in our school feeding program with local products, more than four million beneficiaries of our Government Empowerment and Enterprise Program (GEEP ): MarketMoni, TraderMoni, FarmerMoni . “Our private sector, despite the limitations, has continued to do wonders; Just a few days ago, the president commissioned the largest fertilizer plant in Africa and one of the largest fertilizer plants in the world. “And in a few months, the world's largest single-line refinery will be operational under this government and in this nation. “Since 2015, in the technology sector, our young men and women have established world-class companies; today, Nigeria can boast six unicorns: technology companies valued at more than a billion dollars each.” Osinbajo congratulated all party members and especially commended the founding fathers of APC for their vision and foresight. The vice president applauded the president, whose vision and direction, he said, led to the merger becoming known as APC. Osinbajo acknowledged the roles of a former Osun State Governor and first acting APC Chairman Chief Bisi Akande, National Leader and former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu and former Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Wamakko.
