Blackburn, England – As e be say dem chop another hot defeat, Blackburn Rovers don show say dem no fit sabi turn things around for their home ground. Last night, dem face Swansea City for Ewood Park, and na dem Swansea boys wey waka come from behind to collect 2-1 victory. E no get better way we go fit talk am!
First half no too bad for Rovers as dem gree themselves hope to collect their first win for di season when Todd Cantwell header don put dem ahead. Na from Ryan Alebiosu cross wey dey dance with luck, the ball land for Cantwell head wey no waste time to put am for net. But as dem dey celebrate, dem no know say dem go regret am later. (E be like say dem feel too much!).
As di match dey towards halftime, Swansea show dem say dem fit contend. Goncalo Franco, di Portuguese magician, bola wey dey shine like diamond, volley di ball finish for back post after Josh Tymon cross land for am. Na so e equalize, just before di whistle blow for halftime. Everybody just dey wonder as Rovers defense scatter like say dem no plan ahead.
Come second half, Blackburn no wan sit down make dem reign on top dem head again. E be like say dem wan try show di gaffer, Valerien Ismael, say dem go fit recover. But na wah! They still dey slack as wey Swansea carry di tempo. Alan Sheehan, di Swansea head coach, don make some substitutions wey change di game. Adam Idah dey run like cheetah, find Liam Cullen wey finish am off nicely. Just like that, dem don turn di tables. Talk say na plain magic!
Blackburn tried to fight back, but e no finish well after Cantwell shout for penalty as Burgess dive enter for am. Referee, Leigh Doughty, no gree, maybe him no dey see well (or maybe na by mistake). Both Cantwell and Ismael don collect yellow cards for protesting di decision. Na wah! Di way dem dey vex e fit make person laugh, but Rovers no get any remedy.
With dis loss, na four home defeats wey don enter dem record this season, something wey dem never chop since 1996. E no too sweet for di fans as dem dey wonder where di next win go come from. I mean, wetin dem go do waka go find di winning spirit? (Maybe dem go need palm wine, who know?).
Swansea dey shine brighter now, as dem don move up to seventh position, only one point away from di play-off places. Di boys and their coach dey enjoy di resilience wey dem show as dem finally collect three points after four tries. Sheehan go sleep beta as e be say di boys don find their groove again.
After di match, Ismael talk say, “We need to stop giving away goals like say we no dey care. Dis performance na beta improvement, but we still get plenty work to do.” Na true words, as di Rovers fans go wan see more fire!
As it be now, e good to see di competition hot. Di boys for Swansea don prove say dem fit fight back, but make we see wetin go happen for dem next match. Will Blackburn ever find di win dey dream of? Only time go tell! For now, let’s raise our glass and cheer for di beautiful game wey dey carry us along.
