Sule Lamido Blow Whistle On PDP Convention, Say E No Legal

Ibadan, Oyo State – Wetin dey happen for PDP party wey people dey call the ‘gathering’? Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido don burst voice distract directly, say di convention wey dem hold for Ibadan no be proper gathering, instead na illegal show wey dey violate court order. E don warn dem say if dem no take am serious, dem fit enter wahala for contempt of court.

As e dey yan during interview with ARISE News on Saturday, Lamido talk say di convention no fit hold because of di injunction wey e get on Friday—just few hours before dem gather for di show. “If you dey talk say na convention, na serious matter you dey run. Dem fit sue you for contempt. Court order dey valid, no be wahala,” he yarn.

Lamido no gree pity Bode George wey come dey open mouth criticize am. “I watch am well, I don laugh for my house. Na military man, e no know wetin dey happen since 1998 when PDP start. Na Obasanjo carry am come,” e add, dey call Bode George ‘paracivilian’, say him never fit waka from military mindset to civilian wahala.

Dem dey call di gathering in Ibadan as entertainment, because according to Lamido, “PDP no dey joke, na law and order we dey.” E continue to talk, say anybody wey dey carry di convention matter no dey serious with di party. “PDP suppose win elections, wetin we dey do? We dey lose confidence for di people wey suppose run di party,” e dey vex.

Omo, na so Lamido don dey remind dem say forgiveness and sacrifice na di solution wey go help PDP come back to di people’s hearts. “We need to make amends and support dis party. If you no fit organize yourself, how you go fight di APC?”

As di convention wahala dey hot, Oyo State High Court don plan to hear Folahan Malomo Adelabi case against PDP and di convention scheduled for November 15 and 16. Justice Ladiran Akintola don give di PDP marching orders to follow all di rules wey dey laid for di convention.

And na so di tension for di party dey rise, as state governors dey mobilize their chairmen to come attend di convention. Dem don gather 29 of 37 state chairmen to show loyalty to di party’s National Working Committee led by Amb. Umar Damagum.

But no be all dem dey gree; one faction led by Mohammed Abdulrahman dey cause trouble, claiming dem suspend di convention pending appeal.
