Strictly Come Dancing’s Tyler West announced on Lorraine Kelly’s show that he is dating vocalist Molly Rainford. West had previously paid tribute to Rainford on Instagram, before making his announcement on air. A source had said that the couple had been spotted flirting backstage at Strictly Come Dancing. In addition, Rainford had been part of the touring company and linked up with West on a consistent basis during the tour.

EastEnders’ new family gets an acclaimed addition

Molly Rainford proved her singing talent during her time on Britain’s Got Talent, and is now set to join the cast of EastEnders. News recently broke that the soap was seeking to fill roles for a new family on the show, and Rainford will be joined by Francesca Henry as George’s daughters. The girls’ father will be played by Colin Salmon, an actor with a career spanning more than three decades. Alongside them will be Absolutely Fabulous vet Harriet Thorpe, who will portray the recast Linda Carter’s mother, Elaine Peacock.

Colin Salmon excited to join EastEnders cast

The inclusion of Colin Salmon on the EastEnders cast was seen as a coup for the show, and the star himself spoke of his excitement at joining the series. Salmon is probably best known for his role in Middlemarch, as well as his appearances in three James Bond films. On EastEnders, he will play the father of Rainford and Henry’s characters. Speaking of the role, Salmon stated that he was looking forward to getting to grips with the character of George, and that he had longstanding affection for the show. He expressed his desire to “be part of the great legacy” of EastEnders.
